Hamas big reduction/pruning thread!

Recommended Posts

Some amazing reductions in this thread! How long did it take for you to do that beech rob? I'm only just learning to do reductions so they take a while!..

I think the first cut was just before 10 and the last one around half 1. Wasnt pushing particularly hard to get it done as I had all day.

Done this oak this morning, only 2 pics one before and the other when it was nearly finished apart from some lower branches.

In the afternoon done this lime, not a great photo. Took 2 metres off protruding limbs and 5 metres off the limb coming of the left hand side

The second pic is from a slightly different angle so it looks like I took more from the inner frame but I didn't actually remove much. The part reduced the most was the back of the tree over the neighbours garden. I think thats why it looks bare on the lower right. Thanks for the advice tony

Black Walnut reduction and shape from today

By any chance did you have a skin reaction to the walnut?? I took one down on Thursday and gave me lots of tiny blisters all over my arms and marks on my face. Apparantly the sap is toxic in black walnuts and has been known to do this, obviously I only found this out after doing the work!
