commuting?

What do you think is a sensible commuting distance?

 

30mins, and hour? 20mile, 50miles?

 

Im looking for a job and work is a little further a field than i hoped for and trying to workout wether its worth it.

i do 45 mins every morning some of the lads do an hour

Most ive ever done is an hour to work, Got used to it after a couple of weeks,

 

Personally id rather drive an hour to work, Than not work at all!!

Mine is half an hour, all depends what your driving – nice comfy car = nice comfy commute. I drive a Discovery, so half an hour is more than enough!

Mine is currently an hour. I don't mind the time so much but the fuel cost is pretty annoying.

20mins to work then about 50mins home when I was working in NZ. hate work traffic!

If the jobs a good one go for it!

gives you time to rewind on the way home from the day.

really depends if your using own car own fuel or company van car ect, i always found commuted further using company vechicle as wasnt worried about cost

10 minutes for my and my guys. I did have a guy this winter who had an hour and a half each way!

When I was in Devon / Cornwall, did about 1 hour each way on average. This was in an old B reg 90 Landrover, my fuel, tyres and all sorts of bits breaking and wearing out. I didn't really mind it. It was on mainly small roads, so at least there were no queues! and there were good dog walking oppertunities on the way.

 

These days (Sussex) I do about 10 mins and my journey is rubbish, all delays, queues and rat runs. At least its in somone elses motor.

 

I guess it depends on where you are.
