The slithers of wood and bark on the barn floor which is left after my logs have gone, I have discovered makes outstanding firewood. My stove possitively glows with it.

Two or three minutes picking up a dustbin full lasts for most of the day in the stove and the heat output is phenominal. I'd normally just scrape the barn out with the tractor and dump it.

 

So far I've had a weeks worth of free heat burning rubbish

i do the same mate, i also chuck it int he dumpy bags aswell for the customers, fills in the gaps and makes good kindling

 

I normally fillin gaps with them too, but I'm still left with a mountain of bits of bark
