Not since my inherited graphite spray can lost its propellant.

I also have a huge tub of Rocol Moly disulphide tho I wouldnt put that on or near climbing kit, just incase it reacts in some unexpected way.

The common theme here is the need for compressed air. Does anyone manage without it?

ive never used a compressor on karribiners, warm soapy water, toothbrush, then bit of wd40.

works fine for me.

Does no one use graphite powder any more?

No mate, people tend to use more than is needed which creates more problems as it builds up in the gate mechanism and binds with water/sap.

DMM recommend duck oil.

Well, given it a bloody good clean, and I think it's mechanical.

Weird, as never had an issue with Ali crabs

Have you given it a little spray though? I find that absolutely squeaky clean doesn't work well, makes the motion sticky.

Yup, it feels like on the tri act that it's binding on something inside, as it can't be pushed beyond the point on the image.

I have emailed petzl so we will see how they go.

Will have to go back to Ali crab on climbline, which is a bugger as I like the steels extra weight beeing easier to throw accurate
