I continue to work on the OAR, which William from the Buzz called the Bomb Diggity.  I am receiving feedback from a climber in Japan and of course the US, and this one shows real promise.  ss spine, 7075 aluminum arms and teardrops.  This one is 12 oz, but will be a bit more with the steel bollard. BombDiggityOAR.JPG.f2d2675081178c52baf828519ea86571.JPG  The wear points are ss shoulder bolts with a steel elongated bollard in the top arm.  It releases well either DRT or SRT and tends very similar the the Bulldog Bone.

Have you got any videos of it in action you can share.

Still on the bulldog bone every day but would love a new device I could use to swap between SRT and DRT.

Not midline.  I have been revisiting the OAR at the request of the Japanese climber who says he does not care if it is midline, just so it will work seamlessly DRT/SRT with his Tachyon, which I have been testing with a new elongated bollard in the top arm, in addition to the Tendril shown in the video.

It does look good. Midline is nice but not something I'm doing all the time in the tree, whereas DRT/SRT switching I do all the time. That has a much nicer DRT arrangement than RRP.

In the nicest possible way, why on earth not midline? If you’re going to do something new, it should do what existing things can do and then more, not less.
