I hope you didn't pay...

Talk us through how you chose the contractor and the experience start to finish.

Asked on a FB group and they were the only ones local enough to do it for a reasonable price.

Sent the image on how I wanted it, said no problem.

It looks like you have unfortunately managed to employ the same tree surgeon who did a shit job the first time round.

The previous owner of our house (and tree) was a tree surgeon………,

I assume he did it.

Not every business advertises on the free advert that is FB groups... TBH not a place I'd be looking first for a tradesman.

True, perhaps it's because I consider most social media sites like a public bar - you will get everyone in there eventually but the ones in the bar at 5:00 on a Wednesday afternoon (for example) are perhaps the not the ones out there grafting. Ask away but... I'd take a recommendation with a pinch of salt to double check.

It is a common equation that the more companies spew themselves all over Facebook the shittier there work seems to be.

their work, I am quite surprised by this mistake, your posts are normally coherent.

Must be meths and milk on a Saturday night.

The pear tree was too leggy anyway, should never have been left for so long, needed some form of staged decapitation

An inexcusable lapse.

No meths though, that’s for later.

Poretti on offer at the shop and some cheapo Shiraz can shoulder the blame this time I’m afraid.

I’m away to bed.
