if FR Jones can go under, a little local shop can too, so maybe they won't want my suggestion of stocking something like these pruners with claimed safety feature of not working if your finger touches the blades

expensive compared to the cheapy Amazon ones, and I'm sure the Bluebird ones are probably available cheaper in Europe, although they are still cheaper than the pro Bahco version

Forget the climbing stuff and sell a lovely range of chainsaw bars ;)

 

Failing that sell what they are already selling but in a better way and be the best at it.. branching out into climbing stuff (when they know little about climbing stuff themselves) seems bit random and a good way to dilute their business.
