The random thought thread.

See this thread on other forums, throws up some unusual stuff.
I have (in my dreams) repeatedly done many things.
Missed exams, important meetings, lost my dog, been sacked from an office job I had in the eighties, run like the wind, played football, driven and crashed cars, resided in my old houses flats (but they were different if you know how that goes) lost teeth, talked to dead people and had ‘sexy time’ with women I have never met.
Not once have I ever used or seen a mobile phone, smartphone or even a computer in my dreams.
Anyone figure that out?

Very good question. No idea. I'm sure there's thousands of books and now websites devoted to interpreting dreams though, if you were that way inclined. I don't recall ever having anything to do with a mobile phone either, though I tend not to remember dreams once I've woken.

I used to frequently dream of flying. A mega jump that then became all out flying through the air. Used to love that, they were the best dreams. Not had one like that for years now sadly.

I've seen the same question and no, I can't recall ever using phones tablets, PC's etc in my dreams. I was going to say I can't recall using electronic tech but then I've dreamt about driving an F1 car so that sort of counts but I don't remember dreaming about watching TV.

Has anyone had a dream where their phone was part of that dream? Someone must have.

I invent rooms in houses. I can picture, clear as day a fifth bedroom at my grandma’s house, on the left after the bathroom. I can describe the decor. I can picture standing in the doorway. It doesn’t exist.

I’m not sure it even came into mental existence in a dream. Give it a few years of not being able to occasionally walk the hallway and see it doesn’t exist and I’ll probably start thinking it was really there.

I wonder if it’s a sort of primeval thing, movement, talking, anxiety, all these things are  recognisable to the animal subconscious and as such feature in dreams.

Working computers and suchlike cannot be understood/processed/replicated by that sleeping subconscious.

Dunno, above my pay-grade.

More likely that we very rarely think about our phones. You think you have an emotional attachment to your phone, but it's simply a delivery system for all of the things to which you have an emotional attachment.

I once dreamed that I discovered that strapping tea spoons to your feet and knees meant that anyone could travel anywhere they wanted really fast!

It might be true, I've never tried it.

In a way it's still possible as long as I don't do it and find out otherwise.

I find that unsatisfactory tbh.
I googled it and found this.
Might be BS but it agrees with me. So I like it!
