True dat.

Back to the transit love in, so many vehicles I go in have absolutely pants dashboards. Lack of cup holders and places to stash you copy of escort. These are supposed to be work vehicles. The MK7 transit dash is the absolute tits IMO. All the cup holders you could want, storage on top drivers and passenger side, the flappy bit in the middle.

The cup holders in the MK7 are perfect for a bottle of ale or cider, cans do however need a shim or a steady hand on the tiller.

You can get a glass Barr's bottle in the holder by your knee, which is the main thing.

My Renault Master ones are useless, presumably because if you’re French and you need a drink, you stop work for two weeks. Door pockets are good though. Couple of 2 litre pop bottles and a flask each side. Capacious enough that you do occasionally find lumpy water.

I wonder who has arbtalk’s grimmest van. Mine’s better than you think, apart from the dog expulsions.

How long have you had the million pound transit mark?

I don't think my Mk7 has turned over that much since me taking on its ownership in 2020. Had pistons replaced at the start of this year and now it is using water and pressuring the coolant system. Replacement engines seem to fetch a lot of money, and no guarantees they will be any good. At a bit of a cross roads with it.

By Eck! 18years! Was the bus in fair good nick when you became the captain? Trouble is when I get a new, to me, vehicle someone has had the best of it!

I am just not convinced that new vehicles will fair as well as the older ones.

Friend with a 3 year old iveco, had since new, and paint is peeling of in places, shocker.
