No pics, but yesterday I went to look at a job, rang the bell at the gate, dog started barking inside and I noticed the door handle going up and down.

Eventually the old lady comes out and we spend a few minutes in the front garden looking at trees.

Then we go to the back, I see a malinois (accompanied by an Aussie shepherd) barking at me and jumping up at the French window type door.

As we’re yakking about the trees at the rear I keep an eye on the French door, to my horror I see the handle moving, the door opening and the malinois (followed by the other dog) exiting the house at top speed straight towards me!

I covered my genital area with my briefcase as it launched itself at me, then ensued a lot of screaming with the woman trying to catch the dogs while the malinois kept trying to get behind me to get at my hamstrings, only breaking off periodically to fight with the Aussie shepherd, presumably about who was going to kill me!

Anyway peace broke out and I got the job.

I’m ok with dogs, and I know if it really meant it I’d have been in real trouble.

But it was no picnic.

Up at the cabin in the mountains this week.

Kira seems to be having fun.  Lots of outside time.

Treid to do some trai j g with her to be calm so when it was my turn as Stine wanted to do some snowboarding.  I walked into town and went to a few shops, then got a coffee and chilled at a cafe/hotel.

Seemed to go ok.

Who's voice? Hers, the dogs, yours?

Must have been a balancing act between lecturing the woman about responsible dog ownership and remaining sufficiently demure to be awarded the job.

I'm not sure I'd have won the job.

I didn’t lecture her, just got on with it tbh.

I didn’t do her any favours on the price, let me put it that way.

When we’re in town and go out for a coffee with Igor he’s ok with other dogs until we sit down at a table.

Then within a couple of seconds he establishes that this is now ‘our’ territory and no dog can come with 5 or 6 mètres without agression being shown from him.

As soon as we stand up to leave he’s back to being ok with other dogs.

Funny little bastard he is.

Yeah, I doubt I'd have been able to bite my tongue. I love an opportunity to be holier-than-thou when it comes to dogs.

Kira is coming a bit reactive with some dogs, not all.

if a dog displays playful tendencies she wants to be friends.

if they have a modicum of dominance she turns into a gypsy teenager and wants to fight them.

Can be quite tiring!
