SafeContractor and other SSIP nonsense in general??

Indeed mine did. Gave him the time of day, then said no thanks once I could see what a con it was. Same bloke contacted me a year later and seemed put out when my reply began with "I remember you from a year ago".

I love it. 

 

It means less and less cheap competition which this thread proves. I win the higher paying jobs with these BS companies because no one else wants to jump through the hoops. Which suits me just fine. 

 

SSIP's such as CHAS, Safe contractor, construction online etc were all originally introduced to avoid every new contractor having to fill out all the pre qualifications questionnaires. 

 

That never happened and you still have to submit all this extra bollocks info. 

 

But as I say, suits me - less competition and I charge double the going rate becuase of it

So do I but I choose to set my own terms with companies and do not hold the accreditations. What’s the point of holding a subscribed accreditation when companies still have their own hoops to jump through!? I don’t need someone to show a client that I have a modern slavery agreement because here you go I just emailed it to you along with everything else you require, only took me 30secs to email and I’ve saved myself thousands.
