Hi all

Available for the MS200/020T and other small saws later in 2010 [sept launch] is the powersharp system from Oregon

see PowerSharp sharpens chain on the saw, on the job, in seconds and watch the video

also see a forum https://blountowa.com/exchweb/bin/redir.asp?URL=http://www.arboristsite.com/showthread.php?t=125402

Lots of FAQ's on the above forum

This is an evolved and redeveloped chain from the 70's and should help all who can't sharpen, work in dirty wood and who want to spend more time cutting.

It will not replace our conventional chain for mid range to large saws.

The NPTC might like to see this as an option/addition to the training programme ?

Looks a brilliant concept... Not so sure it's relevant for the 200T as it's no hassal to take a round file to it and you're much less likely to hit dirt and grit up a tree.

But this would be perfect for cutting firewood and working in gritty conditions.

I love seeing new and innovative things like this coming along in tree work... they may not all work but some do and go onto be the benchmark in later years.

But will reserve full judgement when I try it as no doubt I will
