Thanks for the advice. If I ran my own crew they'd be walking to site everyday, or they'd be contorted into the hopper, and they'd be sleeping in the back of the pickup, if they were lucky they might find some fungi amongst the pissy chip piles at the back. I might even give them a tarp when it snows.

Luxury!

Back in my day you'd think yourself lucky for a twig of blackthorn to clench between your cheeks to warm yerself from the snow.

A twig of blackthorn is only any good when it's raining. The tarp gives them something to chew on in the snow.

Avoiding tax, I wish 😂😂😂some on here are like turkeys clamouring for Xmas regards this pick up stuff or just talking shite.
I’ve a decent pick up why would I buy a new suv 🤷‍♂️you seen the bloody road tax on them 😳😳. Mrs has a 530D which does 50mpg if we need to go long distance. I’m sorted but thanks for your concern.

Then if you already have a decent pick up, and you're getting a bigger single cab one, why go on endlessly about the new pick up that you wanted, that you're now not going to get because you won't get the tax breaks?

Endlessly!!! Your ATL team mate has stolen the show on this one. See you are doing what you guys often do and that is assuming, I wanted to replace my 68 plate 106k Ranger in June, that’s out the window now due to a fool of a government’s foolhardy decision. Who said anything about a new single cab pick up !!  I said tow vehicle. Can I ask why you and a few others are so against a self employed person or a small business owner getting a break in regards tax bearing in mind to run as self employed or a small business is far from easy in any way shape or form, we certainly don’t get many perks or  breaks 🤷‍♂️. From what I see on-here  and witnessed during the covid farce I think this disgusting policy will be a big hit with that special kind of envious wanker we seem to see more and more of nowadays. A jealous pricks fantasy this is.

I guess my confusion could be explained by you going on about the need for 3.5 tonne towing capacity and pickups then saying your next vehicle was a single cabbed one with a big engine was a slightly confusing description and looked very much like you were waving your nob around about getting a gas guzzling American style truck to tow your sawmill to see if the environmental lot got upset.

I actually own and use a pick up rather than commuting by train to the office there lies the difference, you had visions of my cock in your head and somehow relate that to American pick ups 🤔 😳🤷‍♂️

Good of you to take an interest mind. Regards the environmental lot, you ATL darlings get your knickers in a twist far to easily about anything. I still don’t get why some guys on a forum for an industry where such trucks are commonly utilised would apparently be enthusiastic about crippling tax changes, just to catch out a few people who cheat the system” something you will never stop”

However the one who is getting most narky about a bit of extra tax on his vanity van company perk is the one whose tuck is not used day in day out, but is apparently sat in a yard for 300 days of the year gathering dust.
