Borneo ‘76.

Did something very similar on a 400’ mahogany with some twisted vines and a monkey skull.

Launched it through a Series 1 exhaust pipe with some black powder.

In the 10 years I have been using the art rope guide I have only had it not come out of the tree once! Admittedly I am not a full time climber, used to climb more frequently back in the day but regardless I am.always impressed with it!

We've a little chant that we mutter before retrieving the rope guide.

 

You say (to the A-Team tune) "please come out, don't get stuck, please come out, don't you dare get stuck...".

Then when it gets stuck anyway whoever didn't say the chant has to go up for it.
