Twisting is the problem.

Sure is. I've found if you put a pillar or plinth under each end, just before each anchor, you can flatten it quite well. Concrete block, chair, ladder, etc.

Felt inspired to get ours out on the bank holiday Monday.

It's still as hard as I remember, but at least the kids had fun.

Lidl ratchet straps is a great idea. How much pull can they take?

Had to look carefully to see the rope on the right, thought the bigger one was going to hold the little one up - full Irish Breakfast I was assuming.

Only ever had the Lidle straps out a few times, I can get it taught enough for The Boys to have a good go and for me to fall off fairly quick.

Today’s pottering, a dividing wall with a bench one side and shelf the other. Just got to sand the boards down and clad the framework. Fingers crossed it’s strong enough for mums of all shapes and sizes

Finished my bench/divider, plus a few other bits of pottering. All in all well out of my comfort zone; and I’m never wallpapering again

Bless her - so engaged, kids are great at that age.

My kids are all mid-teens and mid-twenties now….. those are great ages also.

If you dislike wallpapering, be sure to never try plastering!
