Is it just  me or have stihl bg 86 gone to pot, we seem to be lucky to get 12 months out of them before having to replace carbs and coils ,by the time you buy new stihl parts you might as well skip them unless I do the repairs myself,I’m looking for alternatives or have they all gone rubbish

I have had a few of them in the past . Don't know if the quality has dropped off or not but switched over to the Husqvarna 525BX I think its called . Thought it was more powerful strait away .

For a quick tidy up, husky battery powered blower. For a full scale armageddon clear up, then the biggest backpack blower you can get

Yes this 👍 I use stihl battery blower 95% of the time, Echo PB770 for big clear ups. stihl quality is definitely dropping - the hedge cutter heads for the KM are made of cheese 😡 Use till out of warranty then sell and replace
