  1. I use a topdon js3000 , fantastic for the money had it twelve months never let me down ,I have a big expensive Snap on one it’s so heavy I never use it ,the little ones are great for awkward spaces ,
  2. As I said I have done crank bearings on stihl chainsaws in the past but not had dealing with husky’s, when you google it you see horror stories of damaging cranks and casing trying to do them with out the specific husky tools ,so if it was the case of having to buy a few hundred quids worth of tools for one case it’s not worth doing ,
  3. Thanks I will price the parts up including the sleeve tool ,when the dealers re open I’m thinking it’s the clutch side bearing that’s the issue would you change both bearings?
  4. Hi I have a Husky 562xp with suspected crank bearing issue, I have not started to work on it yet , done them on stihl branded saws , But as far I am hearing you need a load of specific tools to do it On these and the bearings are fortune , and it’s easier to buy the full new block, Has anyone had experience of doing these with success ?
  5. I have the topdon js3000 it’s been great for the money ,
  6. What about bolt on pallet forks fit direct to your bucket so you keep the weight down ,
  7. The thing is everyone thinks they can do this job but in reality watching a video YouTube doesn’t make you an expert, There are lot easier ways to make a living,As long as people will work for the money nothing will change, We had a customer suggest today could we not use a bow and arrow to bring down a snagged branch rather than pay us to climb the tree.
  8. We have m300 , it spends all its life outside , never had any problems with belts or bearings just a bit of grease to the bearing as long as the blades are sharp it will give you very little problems ,they are well made not over complicated loads of different lads have used ours who normally wreck an iron ball ,as yet none have broke it , good little machines
  9. We had similar thing once with wood chip dust on the roof of a soft top mini, Gave them £20 to get it washed they were made up easy fix , But we were on a site once were some guys were painting some railings with a spray gun on a windy day and covered all the cars in the car park with grey primer, I think that would take more than £20
  10. I think it is a shame a lot of people will lose there jobs, always had good service over the years, another sad way the economy is going,I bet they paid big money to Google to be first on every page ,It will be the end users who will lose out
  11. If you leave it until the autumn it will have dropped all it seed heads and they will grow back again, In our experience it takes about 5 years to get rid of it , we do the stem injection as well as spraying ,but the sooner you treat it the better ,
  12. 😂 good luck, I will check him out 👍
  13. The biggest thing to remember is look after yourself,I am just recovering from bladder cancer that the specialist said was due to the exposure to chemicals, I thought I was just unlucky to get it at 45 but after speaking to an old coworker who had the same thing told me 8 other guys at the council had the same cancer , ?..? The amount of farmer friends of mine who suffer from Parkinson’s is unbelievable,if I had my time again I would let the weeds grow six foot high.🤣
  14. I totally agree about the stihl motors in the hla 85/86 , we have three sets and have had a least 10 motors in three years , great when they work but not good enough for a pro tool, I have invested a lot in stihl battery kit but I’m considering changing to the husky long reach , I would like to know how the husky’s hold up they look more robust,
  15. Just going back to the first post those blades are the Oregon ones , we had problems with them on our fs460’s we had the clutch housing break on 3 machines using those blades always seem to be going out of balance, since we have gone back to stihl blades never had any issues, IMO , with metal blades you want 360 or bigger , we have had more problems with the 460’s over the years than the 360 or 410 , maybe just me but had at least 3 or 4 pistons melt, having said that they get a lot of stick .
  16. If you are going to go back over the grass with a sweeper , just go back over with the mower , start on the top height setting and then lower it slightly on the second pass so your not getting as long a clippings .in this dry weather once you get it down just keep on top of it,
  17. Dose the cable that goes from the red lever move when you move the lever
  18. I would think you have the hydro model , I.e the 4 wheel model , could be the cable but from experience once the drive gets worn it will only drive with the lever at full speed and only crawl if drive at all in slow position,
  19. The way to work it would be to take out the dead or damaged first to give the healthy trees a chance I would think the wood is going to be processed into firewood, after nine years lying in a field they will be good for just the Bugs ,
  20. Hi has the belt been fitted before to this power head as from memory the rotary power head was a different belt to the cylinder cutter head , they also did a 30”&36” rotary deck ,it’s a good few years since I hand these but I thought they had a slide pulley to tension the belt ,
  21. Any one planting a none native tree that’s has has been brought into the country by the nursery as they all are can’t be to shocked when it dies in its first hard winter in the ground .
