During a visit to the doctor;, I asked “ How is it determined whether or not an older person should be placed in a care home “

“Well” he said “ we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the person and ask them to empty the bathtub “

“Oh, I understand “ I said “ A normal person would use the bucket because it’s bigger than the spoon or teacup “

“No” he replied “ A normal person would simply pull the plug. Would you like a room with view of the sea?”

Architecture, facilities,  good staff who talk to you, info plates, good cafes nearby or a nice park. Dollis has non of these. K

Berlin K, the former eastern side has some pretty cool U Bahn stations if you like that sort of thing.

Indeed i do. Plus U boat pen at Brest when i get to Deutsch land. Travel has been bolloxed for me this year, sadly. K

Brest is in west France.
And the u boat pens are in St nazaire.
But Berlin is the coolest city I’ve ever lived in.
