Self-employed vs Employed

Recommended Posts

Years ago, a mate told me I was "basically unemployable" for similar reasons as most self-employed people. The irony is he was basically employing me at the time (different industry) and not much later dispensed with my services, following a row, obviously.

Self employment has been the best choice for me, as I found being an employee frustrating and oppressive. In many ways, like others, I am not employable.

Would I ever work for someone again? Very unlikely, but I never say never - it would have to be an exceptional company to tempt me.

Self unemployable here.

In late to work today because I can. And on the one rare occasion my body will let me actually enjoy a lie in without being in pain, I’m bloody well going to.

A double-edged sword in many ways. Many moons ago I was an employed engineer in a factory and the clocking in/out cack and being penalised for being 3 minutes after 9 say 3 times in a month did my head in-and also stupid, taint how long your in-it should be about HOW much you get done whilst there in my book.On the other hand, having been s.employed for 35 yrs+,it sometimes strikes me that I drive myself harder than I'd ever accept from an evil uncaring employer! Also I dont like how I feel guilty when on Hols seeing other people working whilst I'm idling about!
