Schliesing 220 PTO Help

Can anyone assist me with my schliesing 220 PTO chipper?

 

- Knife gap settings.

- Setting up the control box to my tractor.

Why does the blade gap need altering? We have about 2-3mm on ours, similar to Forst etc. The box settings should already be set no matter what the tractor is surely? We never change our No Stress settings on different tractors?

 

The importers are Overland based down by Reading.

On my 485 the gap is 1/2 mm at the vertical anvil end (inside of the flywheel) I think they’re made to have a slightly larger gap the other end of the anvil for some reason.

220 has pretty much the same chamber as a 235.

Is there anything in that manual regards the computer settings?

It's because the cutting actually flexes the disc toward the anvil and the further away from the centre you get the more flexing

I seem to recall that the Forst pages, and let's not forget,  they copied Jensen, recommended a different clearance on the inner edge to the outer edge to account for the 'flex'. 

 

But then, blades bursting and blade bolts loosing their thread are not covered by their warranty!?!

I set my Jensens in with .5mm close to the axle and 1.5mm outside.

 

Forst's shear bolts because the blade to anvil angle is aggressive to help the feed rollers pull in material my guess.The gear driven feed roller setup on a jensen must have been to expensive to copy.

The top roller set up on Forsts is rubbish.
