This is my idea of bliss.

Thats the kind of cabin Im looking for!

Im looking fiorward to seeing how much land my mate with the estate will sell me and how much for.

Ive been lead to believe that if you cant get planning permission if you have over 12.5 acres you can 'live there' if you have sheep during lambing time and also if you're building a barn. I need to look into this more.

This reservoir is just behind me, maybe 5 miles further up into the glen? Granted its mostly water but its 35 acres for offers over £130,000.

This one is not close but its in Scotland and 15 acres for overs over £125,000.

I just need to convince my mate to sell me 12-15 acres for £130,000. :D and then work on getting planning on it over the next few years.

Not many Log Cabins on the Transocean Spitsbergen right now. I'll keep looking though. :D

I can ask the ex,s brother Andy he is in a log home that’s 40yrs old plus, I’ve been in that many times in a Finnish winter and it’s always been a lovely temperature. Painted every 3-4years. Good work and quality ethic I always found with the tradesmen over there.

Might get me enough to buy the flowers at the funeral.

Andy have you looked at Canadian wood UK ??

Just google Canadian log homes uk that  pops up a few options for the bigger log homes you’re looking for as does searching the US sites. Importing from there I guess is no less expensive than the EU nowadays.

That’s a good site! I’ve dropped them an email.

It’s not easy to get even a rough price out of any of them. Not even a figure to see if it’s worth carrying on looking into .

Looking into the US is another option, good call!
