Morning all,

Good frost here. Going to see a customer to finalise the job spec so I can put in the application for permissions due to whole site TPO. Lovely old house in a two acre garden, surrounded by a 1960’s housing estate. Lots of trees and large shrubs around the border. The whole site has suffered major lack of maintenance including the house and my customer is the new owner. Should be a really interesting job as we see the whole place come back to life.

Happy weekend

I’m actually up and breakfasted in good time today. Needed to make sure the van could start and clear the windscreen, having done nothing for a fortnight. Beating today. It’s not actually that cold here but we congregate at the corner of a field before the fourth drive that always seems cold and I imagine will today.  The guns always take twenty minutes to go the long way round and tool up and we stand there like freezing cold idiots.

It was always my feet when I used to beat, could never seem to get them up to temperature.

Thermals and big socks today. Possibly two sets. My hands/fingers have been feeling it recently. Mittens today. Big army skiing ones I got years ago for 50p and haven’t hitherto needed.
