Felling a 2ft DBH syc today, little bit of side lean but nothing to worry about, I knew it would go 45 degrees off to the side when the hinge broke.

 

Put the gob in, bored in then released and it just fell over 90 degrees to the hinge :confused1:

 

Hinge was deantastic, wood was good, no explanation ??

 

Luckily it rolled down the trees to the side which were to be felled and laid gracefully down with the tips brushing against a half built garage wall :001_rolleyes:

:laugh1: True mate, Ive not had that feeling for a while now, That "ooooohhhhhhhh sh.......,Oh it actually wasnt too bad" For a good few seconds your hearts in your mouth!!

 

 

Hope ive not jinxed myself :biggrin:
