De-restricting a Kubota v1505

Not turbo. Naturally aspirated. Pre the latest round of emissions, this engine made 35hp. Now it makes 26hp.

It revs the same, so it must be set to use less diesel each stroke? Has anyone successfully adjusted the injection pump to take it back to the pre euro 4 35 horsepower?

would they have fitted a less aggressive cam as well?

My understanding (having been told by a GM representative) that no, just turn up the diesel. Exactly the same engine.

But wait till the warranty is finished.

the fly wheel is a different design on our newer low hp engine jensen, not sure whether that would be a problem if you changed the engine settings

It’s not on a chipper. Yes, the pulleys have been changed on later chippers to compensate for the lack of power aftwr euro 4 emmisions.

Isn't it just bonkers how the efficient running of all sorts of engines { or every engine } is being bastardised by the fake delusional cult of the imaginary climate emergency citing excess CO2 in the atmosphere as some kind of tipping point when at around 400 ppm it's currently at the lowest level ever recorded in the ice core data going back a very long way... { real science } or the inconvenient truth knows this.

I mean ' fossil fuels ' are the devils work so let's make every engine as inefficient as possible... it just doesn't make sense.. like most everything else in this world full of arseholes.

Apologies for the derail, hope you get your answer👍

The problem you have is that without an engine dyno you don't know how much to 'turn the diesel' up by.

We have worked on diesel engines for years, we were happy with where we set the fuelling to. However cannot accurately say we achieved 34hp. We were comfortable that the engine was running safely and with increased power over 25hp.

Naturally there is a risk of just having a go yourself.
