If using on a trailer floor, use it over the original one or a replacement floor. I would not use it as the sole floor, if your thinking of putting machinery or vehicles on it, as it will flex like buggery.

Thanks, yes will put it on the old steel bed, which is pants for shovelling off.

That’s what I was looking to get them for.

Will put this pic up of them cut into 3 so you can get 24’ of track for every 2 boards.

Curse you @Will C!

This 6mm stokboard is so handy I need more for the job I’m on, with the weather being what it is.

I’ll own over 40m worth of trackway after tomorrow!

5 complete sheets and 24 lengths as above.

@Mark Bolam

Why does nobody on here not use/know about the 6'x4' cow mats??

-I think horse-botherers use them too.

A 12mm thick cow mat weighs a fraction of the 6mm Stokboard -I can carry 3 cow mats at a time.

Admittedly they aren't as indestructible as our other stokboard sheets, but so much easier to handle, and can happily carry a land-rover and trailer.

Way cheaper too, especially if you can find some s/hand ones !

I went away from stoc board to proper mats. Worth the investment imho and so much better on a slope as they are textured. I have about 20 which is a serious roadway for narrow machines

Have you got a link to something like you're talking about? All I can see so far is 24mm thinnest and about 60 quid a sheet, if you can't cut into 3 going to work out quite a bit more expensive and also take up more room transporting.

@Dan Maynard

The second (very lightly used/cheap as..) batch of mats we bought, were from what's now called Quattto products, just north of Penrith, Cumbria.

Call 01768 864 977 -ask the boss, or have a look at similar-type businesses, nearer yourself, Dan ?

Ours paid for themselves in the first year -lov'em.

I'd not be too tempted to chop up the sheets into strips, personally -I'd be worried they -might- blow away, or start to 'walk' if we were turning, using the skid steer.. but each to their own choice/technique?

If there's a cross-slope, you'd definitely peg them down, or want those heavy grippy 8'x4' ground protection mats.

I’ve drilled all the boards and strips and peg them down with 6 inch nails.

Works well if you are careful on the loader, you can’t razz about like you can in the summer.

Yes, I wouldn’t fancy them on a cross slope.
