Does the label of origin say, Dave with a little smiling picture?. It sounds very Douglas Adams restaurant cow.

 

And where do they draw the moral line, I'm alive but here is my perfectly usable leg ?.

Plus, if they're taking the whole body, would that make the abattoir the funeral director.

 

How would you dehumanise it ?.

 

The other TV reference would be league of gentlemen, the special stuff.

Shades of Soylent Green (A tale of Earth in despair in 2022. Natural food like fruits, vegetables, and meat, among others are now extinct. Earth is overpopulated and New York City has 40 million starving, poverty-stricken people. The only way they survive is with water rations and eating a mysterious food called Soylent.)
