Basically XG stands for ‘expected goals’

So someone has worked out that (statistically) you’re better off dicking around passing from side to side looking for an opening, rather than having a go from distance.

Bring Cole in for Foden from the start.

I am a huge fan of Kane, but listening to both Shearer and Lineker criticise his performance has made me think.
