Did you buy another tourist quality Axe to go with the first one?

Good for you, Geilo needs the revenue.

Veldig Bra! As they say.

Shame that, quite liked the look of the splitting axe but if they sell “ tourist quality” shite then Geilo won’t be getting any of my custom.
No thanks, as they say.

It was such a poor attempt at a wind-up it was not worth responding to. XXL stores are generally out of the way. At least in Stavanger you'd be hard pressed getting to one without a car, they're certainly no where near any tourist hotspots. Øyo not very well made anymore, its as simple as that. There's a whole bunch of generation old brands out there that still trade on the name they made when they represented quality, Stanley and McCulloch spring to mind. Both still going, both peddling pish.

Drit og dra! As they say.....

Geilo is where they are made, its a Ski town in the mountains roughly half way between Bergen and Oslo. Its a nice place and the only industry is the Øyo metal works.

You got caught out making yourself sound important by claiming Øyo products were junk.

Thats all anyone needs to know about your experiance of them.

Morning all,

My old man's after a splitting axe and he has a Norwegian book and wants an oyo splitting axe - as photo shows. I've tried to find it, but to no avail. Anyone know if these are not available in UK or discontinued? Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure where in the country you are but I plan to be in Geilo area in spring and happy to bring an axe or 2 back to UK
