anyone with the above will know how these are a flipping slip n slide as soon as they get wet!!

 

has anyone managed to add some grip to them, thinking of putting some any slip tape on them or rough the face of them up with the grinder

Never had a problem with mine. Run digger and mini loader with turf tyres on. 

Just don't stop once you start going up that's what causes a problem. 

What model of trailer are you trying load on to and what length of ramp.

Ifor and 8 foot ramps

Avant and tractor are fine but when u have a rear wheel drive car u try and load, its a no go

 

And running wheelbarrows up and down in the wet is always dangerously slippery!

What about some torx button flange head screws/bolts instead of self tapping screws.

 

Just thinking the self tappers might turn into something of a bed of nails, unless you're going to grind them flat on the reverse side ?.
