Yes, if it's seasoned. Although the witches and goblins will get you.

 

(Elderberry is associated with lots of folklore so you will read that it can't be burnt, shouldn't be burnt or it's bad luck to burn it but plenty of people do burn it as a quick search will show).

Aye as Paul says, season it well and it'll be fine.

 

Turns remarkably hard when seasoned as well.

 

In my defence, any of it I've burned has been either windblown or a limb which has been trimmed.

 

Indeed I've planted out a few random self-seedings in the woodland to appease the spirits.

Burnt tons of it…. Never noticed any problems with Witches.

 

Store it properly (dry and breezy location off the ground ) as it quickly degrades if in the damp.

Produce includes:

• Firewood

• red wine

• unbeatable wands

• white wine.

To add, old warreners used it as snare pegs, large pieces split to get pegs and then shaped.

I wouldn't have it in my house.
