Wasn't there a guy with a nursery last month looking to get cleared?.

 

But think your right about it being too early, usually around the first frost time once everything is dormant.

Most nurseries not lifting till mid November.

I've my apple trees for this winter bought and paid for.

 

Hoping that if they're paid they can't bump the price up in late winter as I feel that price rises are inevitable.

Thought it best to look early as heard talk/hearsay that there was going to be widespread  shortages due to all the new tree planting schemes going on atm, but maybe it is too early.

 

Just wondered if anyone else had heard similar?

Seems entirely possible.

 

Typical GO/NGO way of operating, conjure up loads of stuff with zero thought and no background planning as to how it'll be implemented.

 

Probably be a good idea to get your ordering done as soon as possible  because if there is a problem you can be sure it'll be the ordinary guy that looses out.
