Hello. Any free logs going so I can use on my log burner, please contact me. I live in the Bedford area. Thanks

Put yourself on the Tip Site listing it's next to Today's Posts BUT there are a lot of people on there so beer tokens etc may help your cause.

Free fuel that would be a fine thing indeed.
Commercial firewood has various costs to produce.
Landowner where the tree has grown wants a return.
Tree surgeons who fell and log need to earn a living.
Firewood processors have transport, machinery, labour, yard costs.

I think he's after unprocessed Arb-waste. But still.......

With everyone feeling the pinch I think the days of free logs is (hopefully) over.

I dunno, I’ll give any neighbour to a job who asks as much free horse chestnut as they can handle !

I have Hever sold as much firewood during the warmer months as i have this year, was on a job on Monday and the neighbour asked if we would move the logs to her house 250yds away if she left us a can of pop each, I just thought that shogun don't run on pop thou, if we are loading it it's back in the yard for it or a price agreed beforehand for delivery and a bit for the timber,,

I guess they’ll burn eventually 🤣

Ill happily give logs away, if they happily give an equal amount of time equivalent in return. Those that claim to be poor and unable to pay also seem very quick to turn their noses up at actually grafting for the logs.

Funny that.

The brass necks displayed these days is unbelievable. I can only assume it aligns with the mollycoddled reliance on a whole raft of benefits and the entitlement that seems to come with it.

I’ve said I’ll keep the in-laws and my sisters father-in-law in firewood for the rest of their days. Unless it’s family everyone else can either pay or pay in kind.
