Shame, do you know if he's well?

No as I only know him from here and he's not read my last PM

Gary has been on a sabbatical as well, anyone know how he is?

Yes  and the angry Kevin doesn't seem to post now, mind the weather is so nice they are better things to do.

Get an aeropress. Fresh coffee at work. People who drink instant coffee make me sad.

If you must have milk get a small glass bottle or a glass lined thermos.

This.

Aeropress is possibly not as fast as instant coffee, but it’s not far off.

Instant coffee is an outrage to humanity.

Lot of people in this thread who'll never know the simple pleasure of a sachet of instant cappuccino at 3am, brewed with melted snow on a Jetboil, halfway up a mountain, still wrapped in your bivvy bag and down jacket. Best coffee in the world.

If you stick one of these bags in a boiling flask first thing in the morning, you get a hot, smoky tasting, tannin- free cuppa throughout the day, no milk necessary (can’t do without milk in most hot drinks).

The drawback is you can’t let on to anyone what you’re drinking, lest they think you a pretentious prick.

I've been in the stove camp for years. Used to have a little Coleman petrol hobby, but it never really liked 2 stroke and kept clogging up with unburnt oil. So I upgraded to a Bullfinch - a small bottle of gas will last best part of a year. Also full fry ups on a Friday, no faffing around with the little suitcase gas burners as this will put your kitchen hob to shame!

Keep a container of water in the van, and buy a pint of milk on the way to work.

Another bonus, if you get called on an emergency job before getting back you know you have tea, coffee and a couple of emergency cans of food.

Don’t know if anybody’s mentioned it already - tbh I couldn’t be bothered to wade through 7 pages of posts as ironically I’m on a short tea break! - baking powder in hot/boiling water will remove all the crap I find. Might need to do it several times if it’s really bad. Bicarbonate just gets rid of the smell.
