Would you do it?

Looking at a splitter in birmingham which is miles away from me in Devon. its over 7k with transport. owner has made a bit of effort to provide transport quotes but didn't seam keen to send new photos or a video of it working. is there a 'safe' way to transfer funds/receive splitter without risk to both parties? should I just leave it?

must be one hell of a splitter for 7k, you would pick a decent processor up for that, if he aint willing to send you more photos i would say the photos are scamed photos and i would say the machine dont exist ?? one simple way to find this out is just ask if you can be there at 8/9am one morning with pick up or trailer to collect and pay when there, if answer is no as he is at work ask for a later time, if he is not willing to accomadate you and he only wants to deliver, i would not bother with it and look else where for one but be careful, some one i know in Manchester bought a ifor tipping trailer out of south Wales with a 48hr delivery time, here we are now 20mth later and still no trailer, sellers phone was dead with in 3 days, so no trailer and 3.8k lighter, be very careful, i dont know what splitter it is but if you gave us a link to the add or even a make/ model, i am sure some on here would addvise you on said item,,

I drove from from ware in herts to brum then down to two places in Devon then Rochester in Kent in a day once ( hire car 🏎💨) to look at telehandlers. If I don’t see it with my eyes it don’t exist To many scams about for that kinda dollar. Brought merlo from Devon 😏and got delivery included

I drove from Kendal to sevenoakes, I set off at 2 am and arrived at 8, I looked over the machine, bought it and set off back, got home at 3pm. I had spoken to the guy a bit before hand, we knew some of the same people in the tree world so that helped. He let me pay a deposit that if I wasn't happy when I drove down and looked over it then he would re fund me. The question is can you afford to loose 7k ?? If not then take a bit of time and go and look at it.
