Johnsond - on the whole I agree with the politic of what I read of what you've written. Probably about 10% of it max. But I have a question - how the FK do you have so much time to write so much?!

I’ve done two trips this year one for 13 weeks another for 9 been off for the last 4 and due away again shortly. The job I was on was tidal so loads of time on my hands between slacks . To be honest goading the ATL is not a demanding undertaking. There you go SP that’s how it’s done, someone asked me a question I gave a straight answer. 🤷‍♂️simples,

Guys it was a joke based on Trump's proclamation that...

I'll stop the war in 24hrs of becoming the greatest leader the world will ever know. I'll just speak to Vlad, such a great guy, we'll make a deal and stop the war, easy, such an easy deal with a real great guy.

Edit.

I'm not entirely convinced by his claim as people in the know think Putin isn't so comfortable with Trump, he's too loose a cannon for Putin. Apparently Trump's unpredictability and habit of changing with the wind isn't easy for Putin to deal with. Also, there are far more than just 2 interested parties involved in decision making.

Yeah I 100% totally get that Doug, at the same time it was too good an opportunity to call out a massive blagger.

I tend to think Biden has done just enough to keep Ukraine ticking over no more. A very profitable undertaking, to at the 11th hr finally give them permission to fire missiles into enemy territory just before he leaves office and after months of Zelenskyy begging for help is a cynical at best decision. He knows he’s out the door shortly and someone else will have to sort the mess out. Standard Labour/Democrat style.

Nope we just look at it very very differently. Talking to the  Ukrainian DPO off the charter vessel I was on for 7 years this morning on wats app

. He is working in Gulf of Mexico his eldest son is on frontline, his mrs and other kids are in Odessa trying to get by.  There’s no comedy in any of what he had to say.

I reckon the Dems would have given green light for missile targets inside Russia even if they'd won. I don't see anything odd about the timing. The Germans still won't deliver a similar system - Taurus.

Germany is the biggest arms donor in Europe, but they are scared. Everyone is scared. The Swedes issuing recommendations to stock up on food etc to see out the apocalypse.

Most of the West would like to see Putin retreat, but they sense a real nuclear threat.

The US has lead the way on this, under Biden. Yes Biden could have sent the whole lot at once at the start, but no one really knows what's happening in this game of chicken.

I have been thinking for weeks now how cool it would be if Ukraine could find a way to re direct the drones back at Russia . Bugger me dead with the rough end of a pinnacle they are now doing it !  Apparently they send the incoming drone  a " spoof " sat co ordinate that is somewhere in Russia or Belarus . How neat is that !
