Large (Heinola esq) wood chipper needed - Sevenoaks area?

Recommended Posts

Morning all,

Following a bit of clearance work we have quite a significant amount of wood (up to ~90cm diameter logs, but most is smaller) that we’d like chipped but struggling to find someone that we can get in for 1/2 day to work through it (a couple of places will only do a full day).

Plenty of other tree work that could be included to make it a full day, just don’t need the chipper…..if that makes sense.

Any thoughts?

There is no such thing as a half day, unless the work comes to you.

It sounds like you have already been told that no one is prepared to work on your terms. Either pay the going rate or dispose of the material yourself.

A packet of matches is quite cheap. You might even be able to purchase half a packet.

90 cm diameter logs ???? It’s going to take 2 hours to set up the chipper do you have a loader or shall we bring one, then the low loader can do a full day moving two loads back and forth

Or better still a lighter picked up that someone has dropped.

Day rate is what it is, transport kills half a day.
