I would say the blueish stain is ferrus Nails or similar . The dark brown is natural heartwood ? I'm no expert though .

Yeah traces of a few nails I saw for sure , it was the staining I was curious of. Oak ?.

The cut face looks more like Elm to me and the bark has that greenish tinge like Elm . Usually Oak that diameter pale ring just under the bark and the the rest of the face is an even  tan color . But just my stab at it from a photo 🙂

Looks like Elm,in second pic the middle log looks like it might have wire buried in it and grown over

Timber looks like field maple to me though

I know what you mean re the pale color for Field Maple but for me the sticks are too strait for Field Maple .  I'm still going with Elm . 🙂
