your local farm supllies should stock agri enamel if you tell them the make they may even get you a colour match

this is very hard wearing

use an undercoat such as red oxide or hammerite and remove any rust first

also modern enamels can be applied with paint rollers

You have 2 choices, Enamel or Epoxy

Enamel paint is an air drying solvent based paint.

Epoxy is a 2 pack paint that “cures” rather than dries.

Enamel is easy to work with and is reasonably hard wearing. It can be brush or spray applied.

Epoxy is a different beast it contains isocyanides and is best applied with a spray. The H&S requirements are quite strict (if followed to the letter), either way do not breathe the fumes. It is very hard wearing

I would go with the enamel paint.

Do as the others have said but if you plan on keeping the chipper for any lengh of time consider doing it a differant colour than the make, eg if its a tinnywolf do it green with a white spout etc, sounds daft but it helps if it goes walkies, i have a Lovely greenmech thats light blue( was done for the first owners by GM) not many of them about! It wont help you with the coppers but it just helps YOU id it. Just a thought.

Strip down, shot blast, high phospate primer and powder coat!

I’m with you on the first two but powder coat is PANTS on square edges. It’s also going to be hard to get a chipper into a bake oven and harder again to get such a big lump hot.

Way better with a bit of 2k
