Transit tipper problem

The thing is, if it was something physical like a blocked filter it wouldn’t return at all, would it?

Each down ‘cycle’ is at normal speed.

Like Dan says, maybe a poor connection somewhere, hence the on/off business?

A new solenoid loom assembley is about a tenner.

Next stop?

Being a transit, I am guessing your controls are on the dash rather than a wander lead?

If so, then I suspect a problem there.

Could then be something simple as a bad earth ?

I know this is a different bit of kit but the same type of pump. I for tipper trailer. Would raise no prob wouldn’t lower. Tried blipping down and would lower a couple of inches. Turned out to be water in the oil and blocked return filter. Oil had turned to soup. Drained oil and flushed with new. Problem sorted. Might be a blocked return filter?

It could be a filter problem, but returns every time at normal speed, just in 10 stages instead of one.

There is a local hydraulic place, I’ll check what wiring I can then use them if I have to.

The problem is if it’s an electrical problem with the electronic unit in the dash they might be as clueless as me.

@dig-dug-dan I lowered it loaded today, euc rings.

It came down pretty quickly in 3 cycles instead of the 8 it is taking empty.

That's pointing towards the same issue I had.

You need to lift the body right up and seriously wd40 those bottom bearings that the ram pins pivot on, then try it again
