I think ol' Dickie Branson said something like " be nice to people on the way up, cause you never know who you'll need on the way down".

Business is Business, but you may well need to sub yourself to a few local firms in your formative years.Best not to piss off the locals.

what goes around comes around. Just think of it as projecting good karma.:proud:

Try chatting up some local farmers and offer them money to burn branches hedge clippings ect for you

 

 

 

Sadly farmers are having waste disposal probs like us and the burning of non farm produced waste was banned 2 years ago. ( my friendly farmer was threatend with a 20 grand fine if he continued)

 

find a green waste recycling depot

Cheers for all the advice so far.... keep it coming guys!

So best route is a tipper van then get a box built cheaply for it. Noticed the ones with boxes already on go for a fair bit more.

What about working by yourself, any rules against this in the insurance?? Gonna shop around for some quotes this weekend.

Do most of you have a mate to help out as and when?

yes but they stilll have the right to burn so much i believe...........all they got to do as mine does is make out its waste from the farm..... hedge clippings ect...as long as you dont take the p!ss it should be ok.

they do mate but i think any truck that has been worked by a tree gang would be battared more than any builders tipper!shifting tons of tree a day every day takes its toll!i used to work by my self a lot when i first started as self employed just keep your mobile handy...was lucky in finding peeps to help me out when needed though
