squealing tipper

Debbon tipping trailer, first ram don't half squeal on its way up and down. Also twice now the trailer has stopped coming down when empty when it reaches the last stage. Has worked just lifting it again and dropping it whilst pulling down a bit on the bed but I don't think it's quite right.

Any tips info on what could be causing it and how to fix much appreciated.

Not that I noticed, seemed to be a bit of oil and black crud though but only glanced at it whilst tipping off today. Will have a proper look over the next few days.

Had a proper look today - Pistons looked fine, gave em a quick wipe and greased the pivot points and touch wood it all seemed to work a lot smoother after a couple of test tips to work the grease in.

Sometimes they get air trapped in rams often caused by high heat and fluid pumped a lot allows it to be come aerated why many hydraulic units have coolers(See them on side of tipper/pumping tankers up by fifth wheel coupling)

Similar in way to with water system when get with water pipes making a racket!
