Hi all. My ms150 chain stops rotating and appears to be clogging up constantly. This has only developed recently,  saw and bar 4 yrs old. Even when cleaned it soon stops, chain tension ok. Any thoughts please.

Sounds like the bar tip sprocket is failing or has been damaged. Best fit a new bar and chain and try that.

Not sure what the "clogging up" bit is! I take it the oiler is functioning OK?

Point the bar tip at a piece of clean wood and rev flat out, it should leave a line of fresh oil in 2-3 seconds.

Was it 150s that can feg up under the flywheel?

Yes but the OP said the chain stops rotating. Flywheel clag will just make the idle die in my experience!

Put some petrol in the oiler and blow out thoroughly to clean and then test to make sure it’s flowing.

I worked at one firm where 4 of the 5 had the problem you describe.  The 5th one had an exhaust mod.  It never got clogged.  My theory is that the mod either gives the saw a bit more torque and/or chain speed.  Either way, it seems to clear the debris better when compared to standard.

I have 2 150t’s that have been modded and they rarely clogg up in the same way.
