Stihl MSA 220 battery saw bar length

Not really, I've used it for three / four hours without any issues. I bought the backpack thinking it would be, but rarely use it. If cutting upright, I would probably want it, but when logging, you aren't taking the whole weight as a fair portion is supported by what you are cutting. Certainly no heavier than my petrol equivalent. I only use the 5ah batteries with the 14" saw.

This has replaced my petrol saws completely, but I wouldn't argue the case for commercial use.

Biggest I've done with was 27" (measured) at the trunk. No issues whatsoever.

It is incredibly frugal on oil, initially In thought it was faulty but have now got used to the infrequent need to top up.

Is your 18" EGO 3/8p .050"?

I probably want 16” or 18” but am nevertheless interested in context and results from those who have tried. Bear in mind there are 2511s out there running 20” 1/4p.

Only in America.

No one else would be so stupid.

One of them is August Hunicke, who I would class as a pretty capable tree bloke and not especially stupid.

That's interesting. Frugal was what I thought mine was but so little oil gets onto the chain it's just not right; the build up in the sprocket cover is dry dust and the bar gets way hotter than it should.
