That has got to be one of the worst felling vids i've seen, I'm sure he cut through the hinge & no talk on safety, what a joke. They shouldn't be allowed on the web.

These guys seem to think the Darwin award is something to be proud of! or perhaps they are on a PR contract for cowboys? But you've got admire their self loading pick up!.

I like his reason for tensioning a tree with a winch when its already comited to go that way....."incase a gust of wind comes along"

 

I remember in my felling certs this was the same technique my instructor used to get a tree to barbers chair!

You can get those little winches in machine mart, i have had one for years, it does'nt come out much but it can get you out of a spot. I would'nt fell anything big with it though.
