If you think he’s going to have more in the future, why don’t you let him process it and see how much he’s selling it for at the roadside? 
 

If it’s unseasoned, how many people would pay top dollar for it? 
 

if it doesn’t sell, he might be happier for you to do the donkey work to just get rid of it.

So working on a cube an hour will he consider the value of the logs to be £40/cube? If so im not interested.

 

If he said he was looking at like £200 quid for the lot I would probably go for that because its local and I want them for my own burner.

See how much seasoned and split logs you can get from your local fire wood merchant  for £200 .....

Sometimes I think you're best not bringing money in to it, is there anything you can swap him for, or do him a favour?

I one bought some timber off a small landowner for 4 bottles of whisky!

Anyway Mr Stubby, enough of this firewood nonsense. As you are well aware its Burns Night  (  @Stere ) so a nice Wee Ardbeg Islay single malt and piped the wee timorous cowerin beastie in...... K

Just back from Dads funeral . An 18 year old Aberlour  single malt is sending him on his way .
