Whats in the front of that chipper? Seems everything needed is in the back half of the unit?

the fuel tank and battery are in the front Steve. I keep a little tool box and bottle jack in there too.

Well the rules are pretty strict on wee chipper size hmmmmmm. Whats the machine like anyway?

It a great chipper Steve, i have done some huge jobs with it and its cheap to run and maintain too.

I suppose bolts could come loose. Really though, if little M4's or something like that were used, I don't suppose it would do serious damage if it hit the blades. There's always Loctite plus if you had a machine like that you'd check them now and again right?

How many hours do the rubber bits last for? They don't look that hard wearing?

I'm not sure about that Wallenstein being within Wee Chipper specs? It's towable for a start. And won't fit through a pedestrian gate... It's positively huge!

Sorry fella:001_tt2:

My machine is 4 years old now, and this is the first replacement. They have been gradually breaking off for the past 12 months i suppose. Looks like the rubber has gone hard, and a bit on the brittle side. I tried to break a piece of the new rubber, approx 1" wide, and it was strong as hell! I see the pro's of having bolts, for replacement, but even a small gauge piece of steel won't do the blades any favours.

Do they really need to be there at all? I always wear a helmet/visor when using it - be stupid not to whether it's got flaps or not! I remember using my chipper once with safety glasses and ear protection because I forgot my helmet. Never again!

The flaps are usually the first things I take off! And yes I always were my helmet on as well
