This category will see simple acts such as popping to the pub for a pint of beer or a glass of wine banned.

Bars, cafes and restaurants must remain shut except for takeaway services, and households cannot mix except in public places outdoors.

People from different households will not be allowed to mix indoors or in private outdoor areas, such as a garden.

In tier 3, you will only be allowed to meet up to six people in certain public spaces, including parks, beaches and playgrounds.

Sorry if I am being thick here but why can’t we meet a group of six arborist friends for a beer in the middle of a 50 acre private wood?

Or on top of the high Wold in the middle of a wind blown 50 acre field on private land?  Or have I misread the rules?

The rules don’t and never have made any sense or difference to how things have panned out, other than wipe out businesses and people’s future. Here we are on yet  another lockdown 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️How many times before  an alternative view and science is allowed MSM air time rather than pure and utter hysteria, saw Starmer today preaching and virtually pleading about the emergency and how Boris  should broadcast a update every day. Absolutely pathetic.

But a group of arbs in the middle of the woods are “at work” aren’t they 😉 so exempt from the rules of six. If they happen to be having a beer at break time who are we to judge 🤣 🤔

I dunno- I’m not one to judge- I follow rules if they make sense,  don’t if they don’t. Basically. The latest Christmas Day meet only is a classic example of a restriction that does absolutely nothing other than make people break the rules...
