Nice

Interesting design choice in that it looks abit like semi top handle in design having battery underneath.

Makes the saw look weird as opposed to having it at the top

Maybe idea was protects battery from rain abit?

I hadn't considered it until you brought it up. Maybe, but I think the balance is very good with these, so possibly a combination of factors.

Well now a couple of months in using this Oregon mains electric saw as a yard saw and cannot fault it. It has plenty of grunt for anything I have thrown at it.  Bit concerned that any tom dick or harry can pick up and use as I would class it more for professional use. Certainly need to keep on top of chain tightness and can understand comments of the chain being thrown made by people not used to using chainsaws. Chain seems to be lasting well and needing very little sharpening as yet.

I've used a few, but all of them the DEWALT electric chainsaw was much better than others.  No noise, no starting problems and almost as powerful.

You've used a few petrol chainsaws and are comparing them to the DeWalt electric Chainsaw or you've tried a few electric Chainsaws and find the DeWalt the best? Ive not heard much good things about the DeWalt to be honest which is a shame as thats the Cordless tools I use. My brother has the 36v Makita and he loves it, really powerful and great for city use.

I've not found any electric saw to be really powerful compared to a proper petrol saw. The Makita is value for money though.
