That's what i do with mine have a tool bag take bar off which is in scabbard place in bottom then saw sits on top inside bag can get two saws in there as saw with 24" takes up a lot of room

But then the scabbard could be a sheath. I'm getting confused, it doesn't take much these days. :(

Scabbard for a sabre or sword, sheath for a knife, hence a "sheath knife".
