Let me get this straight.
You cut a slab 6.8m x .85-1.6m x 3”?
Then got two guys to lift and move it?

As I said, move it if you don't mind some scuffs.  Not easy but you'll shift it.

4 of us stood them upright in a work shop, nearly killed us but we managed.

they were only about 3' wide the full length.

Think about 4"-5".

I'll find some pics.

obviously used machinery when we could.

I've worked with guys who could man handle that kind of stuff themselves, different breed millers!!

Depends on species and how you move/lift it,
Pith quality etc.
Personally I’d go 4”-8”.

Ok - well as there seems to be a shortage of long slabs, I may wish to consider milling slabs up to 8m x 4" thick, as I have the machines to handle those / space to store and maybe get a better return than I would milling average slabs that everyone else produces  - what do you think - would they sell ?
